What is Valheim

Valheim is an open-world survival game where you play as a fallen Viking warrior, who must conquer the Norse world they have been dropped into, to earn their place in Valhalla. The graphics use a low-resolution 3D style which doesn't sound like much on paper, but combined with impressive lighting and weather effects, the world feels atmospheric and alive. You'll travel through different biomes, gathering resources and building bases, with the goal of defeating the boss of the specific biome you are in, each boss is more difficult than the last.

Multiplayer

Valheim supports up to 10 players on Vanilla versions, however this can be increased via mods on a dedicated server, making it a great game to play with friends. Both PC (Steam) and Xbox players can play together on the same server with cross-platform support. A PlayStation 5 version is confirmed for 2026 with full crossplay, though an exact release date hasn't been announced yet.

All of our Valheim servers come with unlimited player slots, and unlimited storage, so you're not paying extra as your group grows. Your server is set up instantly when you order, meaning you and your friends can be playing within minutes rather than messing around with configs. We also support BepInEx with a one-click install from the control panel, so adding mods like Valheim Plus or Epic Loot is straightforward even if you've never modded a server before.

Realistic Building System

A feature that separates Valheim from other survival games, is its realistic building system. There are over 200 different building pieces to choose from, making it possible to build huts, Viking longhouses, and even castles. Valheim adheres to a physics system where structures must have structural integrity, meaning that if you build something that isn't structurally sound, it will collapse. It adds a layer of planning that most survival games don't have.

Biomes and Progression

The world of Valheim is split into several distinct biomes, each so large you're unlikely to ever fully explore them. Every biome has its own enemies, resources, building materials, and a boss you'll need to defeat to progress. The current biomes are Meadows, Black Forest, Swamp, Mountains, Plains, Ocean, Mistlands, and Ashlands, with the final biome, Deep North, currently in development and expected to arrive with the full 1.0 release, at some point in 2026.
